I AM Wonder Woman

Well at least it felt like it this morning. I amazed myself this morning....lol Matt had a 6:30 am flight out to Arizona to be with family during a memorial service for his uncle.  At about 7 o'clock last night I realized "Oh my gosh I have to be four places at once in the morning and no husband to help!"  Mallory and Rachel had to be at the sitters at 7:30, Dalton and Avery at school at 7:45 and Jack getting on the bus at 8:05 and me to work at 8.  All were at least fifteen to twenty minutes drive apart from one another.  So I got a plan made some phone calls and put an plan into action for the morning.

Plan of Action

Get kids up and leave house by 6:55

Drop Jack of and Hannah's at 7:00am

Drive and drop girls off at Mrs. G's house by 7:15am

Get Dalton and Avery to school by 7:40am

Be at work by 8am

**Not go insane and be grumpy***

Plan of Action played out

I go up at 5:45am and got myself ready. I then went and woke the three school age kids up and got them started on morning routine.  Dalton did not get enough sleep therefore he was super grumpy and had a stomach ache.  Fed them breakfast and Mallory woke up. Fed her and got her ready for the day. Put a load of dishes in the dishwasher while waiting for the kids to finish breakfast, packed lunches, and put a load of laundry in.  Did hair, brushed teeth, collected school bags, put coats on, grabbed sleeping Rachel from her bed and got into the car.  We pulled up to Hannah's house at exactly 7am! Dropped Jack off and headed to our next destination.  I needed to be there at 7:15 and I was pulling into the driveway at 7:14am!  I ran in dropped the girls off said my good byes and ran back out to the car where Dalton was crying and saying he was going to throw up. Lovely...so I ran back into the sitters house and got two Wal-Mart barf bags.  Drove all the way across town to Dalton and Avery's school pulling up at exactly 7:32am.  We had time to sit and talk and pray for Dalton who was in and out of stomach pains.  It was time to go into school and Dalton started puking...thank God for the Wal-Mart bags.  I walked him up to school and let his mom know what was happening. (For those of you thinking you sent a puking child to school....He usually feels better and is fine for the rest of the day after these episodes??? Has nothing to do with a virus)  I left the school and pulled up to work at 7:54....leaving just enough time to finish putting my make-up on. Whew!  I just sat back when I parked the car and replayed the mornings events, laughed, and thought I am Wonder Woman! I've just completed a full days work of  scheduling, caring, cleaning and carpooling in a matter of 2 hours this morning. On top of that I got everyone where they needed to be on time and alive!

Dalton's Birthday

Dalton's birthday is on Wednesday.  He will be turing 10...yup double digits!  We celebrated this weekend with a few friends.  He didn't want to have a big birthday party but requested to have a couple friends spend the night and to just hang out.  

(By the way...can anyone tell I love my new iVideo movie maker...lol)

Halloween 2008

Date Night

I went out on a date with the boys last night. We went to the movies to see Journey to the Center of the Earth.  None of us were hungry after the movie because we had stuffed our faces with popcorn and pop so we decided to go to the mall.  We stopped in every possible "boy" store there.  We went to the skateboarding shop, Radio shack, Journeys kids shoes, Game Stop and the Apple store.  The pictures of the art was of course my idea. They were receptive to it only because it was a new store at the mall none of us had ever seen.  They humored me pretty well.  After we worked up a hunger playing video games and looking at electronics we headed to Fuddruckers.  It was good and we had fun! I've got two good boys.
